Laura Alice is a Geelong-based artist who creates inky paintings and street art that is both illustrative and whimsical with a soulful quality.

She is also a film maker, mentor and artistic director, working alongside Bluebird Foundation Inc. to create cutting-edge creative community outcomes.

Her works are often both playful and serene, exploring a world of contemplative creatures and their human companions. She paints from the heart, finding her inspiration in the mystic philosophers, children’s storybooks and Melbourne street art.

She studied Creative Arts at Melbourne University, and since then has had many solo and group exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand, won awards, collaborated on projects with YWCA, Little Creatures Brewery, Open4, Diversitat, Geelong City Council, and co-founded The Hue and Cry Collective, and the Geelong Illustrators collective.

She also loves reading, collecting old animal figurines, drinking coffee with her husband Jono and hanging out with her rad toddler Joa.
